Red Bull Bowl Rippers 2026: Prado Results, and the 17-Year-Old French Girl Who Flipped the Whole Thing

From August 27 to 30, 2026, the Prado bowl hosted the 7th edition of the Red Bull Bowl Rippers. On the men’s side, Tom Schaar shut it down with a 94.7. On the women’s side, a 17-year-old French ripper walked off with the trophy on her very first try. Here are the results, the scores, and why she’s the one we’ll remember from this weekend.

The men’s podium: 94.7 points, and five clear of 4th

Tom Schaar finished the job. The American, already top qualifier the day before with 84 points, saved his heaviest ammo for the last drop-in: 94.7, with nobody else breaking 91. Behind him, Australia’s Kieran Woolley (90.3) and Spain’s Danny León (89.3), defending champ since 2023, who holds onto a step. Marseille’s own Tom Martin lands 4th with 86 points — one better than his semi, not enough for the box.

What’s really going down in this bowl isn’t the standings. It’s the handoff. Danny León is 31, he won here in 2023, and he said it himself right after grabbing third: “As one of the older heads out here, I can feel the new generation coming up.” Ahead of him, a 26-year-old American and an Aussie who was skating city bowls ten years ago. Behind him, a Marseille kid who grew up on those exact transitions. Nobody leaves with the same standing they showed up with.

Women’s side: Nana Taboulet wins at 17, first time out

Louise-Aïna Taboulet — “Nana” to everybody — won the Red Bull Bowl Rippers 2026. She’s 17, she’s from the Aude, she trains between Leucate and Capbreton, and back in 2023 she got told she was too young to enter. She came out of the semis in first, held it together in the final, and the podium is rounded out by Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa, 15, and America’s Ruby Lilley — Red Bull hasn’t spelled out who took 2nd and who took 3rd as we write this, and we’re not about to make it up.

Her reaction, straight off the board: “I can’t believe it. And my name’s going up next to the other champions on this bowl.” Three French women rolled into the semis — Louise Pages, Taboulet, and Marseille’s Émilie Alexandre, who came out 3rd. In the final, Alexandre finishes 6th. Defending champ Bryce Wettstein of the US didn’t keep her trophy.

The format that stings: one run, then everybody in the bowl at once

Bowl Rippers doesn’t get judged like a standard park contest. Two parts. First the individual run: one slam ends your run, unless it happens on the very first obstacle. Then the jam session — five, then six riders turned loose in the bowl together, splitting lines and dodging each other mid-air. That’s where the scores move, and it’s exactly why Schaar dropped his heaviest run at the end instead of the top.

36 pros in qualis, 15 spots — and four Marseille locals through

Saturday, 36 pros split across eight heats fought over 15 spots in the last round. Four French riders made it through, and they all come from the same city: Tom Martin, Eliot Monnet, Vincent and Nathan Matheron. Martin comes out of qualis in 2nd with 80 points, ahead of defending champ Danny León (78.3) and 2023 world champ Gavin Bottger (78.7). His take fits in one line: “I was born here and this place is kind of my second home. I felt confident, and I knew what I had to put down.”

Saturday night, a rail hanging over the gap and one single obsession

Between qualis and finals, the “best trick” session held the Prado until dark. A rail set between two bowls, grind across it then land on the other side. Americans Liam Pace and Greyson Fletcher made themselves at home on it. But the moment everybody had their phones out for was Grace Marhoefer going at that thing try after try until she rolled away, with a crowd that would not let up.

The Prado isn’t a backdrop: it’s one more judge

The Escale Borély bowl has been part of the landscape since the ’90s, it inspired a level in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and it’s one of the handful of bowls in Europe where you feel the line out rather than learn it. Émilie Alexandre has been rolling there for 13 years: “I know every one of its lines by heart, down to the smallest weird spot.” That’s a real edge — and it wasn’t enough.

Sunday the stands and the walkways were packed shoulder to shoulder, full sun, with that constant wall of noise you don’t get at any other European contest: the concrete throws everything back — wheels, coping, screams. What we’ll actually remember from this weekend

So here’s the answer, no detours: the biggest score of the weekend is American, but the story is French. Nana Taboulet, 17, won the Red Bull Bowl Rippers on her first-ever entry, at home, in front of a packed Prado, three years after being told she was too young to be there. Her name goes on the same list as every champion before her, and it’s the first time a French woman is on it.

That’s what tipped this Sunday. Not Schaar’s trophy — earned, clean, no argument there. But the fact that a 17-year-old kid, another one at 15 on the podium with her, and four Marseille locals in the men’s last round add up to a scene that looks nothing like 2023. Danny León felt it before anybody else. The next edition is theirs to write — and the next French stop is FISE in Le Havre.
