FISE Le Havre 2026: 3 Free Days by the Sea — and a Spot for Skateboarding?

From August 28–30, 2026, FISE Xperience drops its ramps on the boulevard Albert 1er skatepark in Le Havre. Three days, four disciplines, free entry. No tickets, period. It's the Week-end de la Glisse. Which leaves the real question, the one every skater asks when they see a FISE poster: does skateboarding still have a place in all this, or are we about to watch scooters for two days straight?

Where and When: The Hard Facts First

The date is set: Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the skatepark on boulevard Albert 1er, Le Havre's seafront esplanade (76600). Not a gym, not some factory parking lot: concrete facing the Channel, beach huts fifty meters away, the Perret tower at your back. The backdrop does half the work.

This stop carries the FISE Xperience Series stamp, the circuit that takes the FISE format on tour through several French cities between March and September. Le Havre lands right before back-to-school season. Of the Xperience stops announced for 2026 — Tignes in March, Le Havre in August, Évry September 18–20 — it's the second-to-last on the calendar.

Tickets: There Aren't Any, and That's the Whole Point

Go looking for a box office — you won't find one. The Week-end de la Glisse is free entry, open to everyone, as confirmed by the Le Havre Etretat Normandie Tourist Office listing. You show up, you watch. That's it. The only ticketing visible on the FISE website is for the Montpellier event — nothing to do with Le Havre.

If you want to ride and not just spectate, that's another story: rider registration goes through FISE's official platform, registration.fise.fr. It's the only place that counts — quotas, categories and deadlines all get sorted there, not at the park the morning of.

Here's the honest part of this article: three weeks out from the event, nobody has published a rider list. On an Xperience stop, it usually locks in a few days before, once registration closes. FISE is promising riders "from Le Havre, France and across Europe" — that's all that's confirmed, and we'll leave it at that.

Before you commit to the drive, watch the official Best Of from the 2019 edition. Same skatepark, same Channel wind, same crowd pressed up against the barriers. It beats a poster for figuring out what you're getting into.

No livestream has been announced for Le Havre at this point. What is certain is where the footage lands: the official FISE YouTube channel has posted a Best Of from every Le Havre stop since 2016, often within days of the event. The @fise.officiel Facebook account remains the fastest channel for the schedule and any last-minute changes.

Practical takeaway: lock in the weekend on-site if you're within two hours' drive, otherwise plan on catching the clips after the fact. Nobody promised you a livestream, and we're not going to invent one.

So, Does Skateboarding Still Have a Place at FISE Le Havre?

Straight answer: yes — but not the skating you do in your own streets. Skateboarding is one of the four disciplines officially on the FISE program, alongside BMX, inline and scooter. And it's not a consolation prize slapped on the poster: FISE has been filming Skateboard Bowl Pro finals in Le Havre for years — the 2017 final, won by Rodrigue Diaz, is still up on the official channel.

The catch is the terrain. Here, the contest goes down in a bowl and on a park course, not on downtown ledges and rails. If you roll up looking for pure street, you've got the wrong event — and you'll be sharing the park with a whole lot of handlebars. If you're coming for transfers, speed, bowl lines and a crowd three feet off the coping, that's exactly what this format delivers, and it delivers it better than most French contests.

There's also what a weekend like this builds without saying it out loud. The Le Havre kids who hang at the park all year get to see riders they only knew from clips show up ten feet away, on their own concrete. That's how a local scene fills up. Not with a stream. With people actually there. Three free days on the waterfront at the end of August, right before Normandy closes out the season: easy math.
